Vietnam: Economy in 4 months continues to change positively
The economy continues to maintain positive development momentum in all three sectors: agriculture, industry, and services. The PMI in April reached 50.3 points, in which the number of new orders increased sharply. The 4-month average CPI increased by 3.93%. Mobilization and lending interest rates continue to trend downward; Exchange rates are managed proactively, flexibly and promptly. Business development continues a positive trend; in 4 months, there were 51,600 newly registered businesses (an increase of 3.4% in number of businesses and 9.3% in registered capital over the same period); At the same time, more than 29,700 businesses resumed operations, an increase of 2.4%.
Vietnam: Industrial Real Estate promises to continue growing in 2024

Vietnam: Approving the Planning of the Red River Delta until 2050
Prime Minister has just signed and promulgated Decision No. 368/QD-TTg dated May 4, 2024 approving the Planning of the Red River Delta for the period 2021 – 2030, with a vision to 2050. Accordingly, the organization organize the region’s socio-economic activities into two sub-regions: North of the Red River and South of the Red River. The Northern sub-region includes Hanoi, Hai Phong, Quang Ninh, Hai Duong, Hung Yen, Bac Ninh and Vinh Phuc. The southern sub-region includes 04 provinces of Thai Binh, Nam Dinh, Ha Nam and Ninh Binh.
Vietnam: Alibaba plans to build a Data Center
According to Nikkei Asia, Alibaba is planning to build a data center in Vietnam to meet legal regulations. The Chinese technology corporation said that it is currently renting space for servers from Viettel and VNPT. Alibaba leaders refused to disclose the cost of the project as well as the specific time.
According to Nikkei Asia, the cost of building a data center can exceed $1 billion. An important reason why companies like Alibaba want to build their own servers may be to ensure security and better control of information.

The project to build a number of expressway sections on the Eastern North-South route in the 2017-2020 period has a total length of 654 km divided into 11 component projects.

Ba Ria – Vung Tau: Nam Kim invests in a new factory
This year, Nam Kim plans to expand capacity with the investment in building the Nam Kim Phu My roofing steel factory in My Xuan B1 – Dai Duong industrial park. The project scale includes a zinc plating line of 350,000 tons/year, 2 zinc-aluminum alloy plating lines of 300,000 tons/year and 150,000 tons/year, and a color plating line of 150,000 tons/year. It is expected that phase 1 of the project will have a capacity of 800,000 tons/year in the Q2/2024, increasing the total capacity of the entire system to 70% and about 60 – 70% of output from the new factory can be exported.
Thanh Hoa: There are 2 more High-Tech Industrial Parks covering 700 hectares
The People’s Committee of Thanh Hoa province recently approved the planning project for the 1/2000 construction subdivision of Tuong Linh Industrial Park, Nong Cong district, with a scale of 350 ha. The province aims to develop this industrial park as a place to prioritize projects using high technology, assembling electronic components, telecommunications, and information technology. The workforce is about 15,300 people. In addition, Thanh Hoa also asked for opinions from ministries and branches on the 1/2000 scale construction zoning project of Giang Quang Thinh Industrial Park, Thieu Hoa district. This industrial park consists of 2 main zones, total area of 350 hectares.
Hai Duong: There are 2 more industrial clusters with a total area of more than 134 ha
According to decision No. 981/QD-UBND of Hai Duong province, Viet Hoa Western industrial cluster has an area of 59.9 ha, with a total investment of more than 732 billion VND in Viet Hoa ward. The investor is Tan Hung Co. Lt.. Phase I of the project will be implemented from Q2/2024 to the end of Q4/2025, phase II from Q1/2026 to the end of Q1/2028. For the establishment of Thai Tan industrial cluster, according to decision No. 979/QD-UBND of the province, the project is located in Thai Tan, Nam Hong and Hong Phong communes, Nam Sach district. The project has an area of about 75 ha, with a total investment of more than 1,000 billion VND. The investor is Global Real Estate Investment JSC.
