Vietnam: The mark of the processing and manufacturing industry in attracting FDI
To date, there has been 320.7 billion USD of FDI capital invested in the processing and manufacturing industry in Vietnam, accounting for 61.3% of the total valid FDI capital. Of which, in the first 8 months of 2025 alone, the figure was nearly 15.3 billion USD, accounting for about 58.5% of the total registered FDI capital, an increase of 7.7% over the same period in 2024. It is bringing the total registered FDI capital in the past 8 months to 26.1 billion USD, an increase of 27.3% over the same period.

Vietnam: LG Innotek expands Factory
LG Innotek has announced that it has completed the expansion of its camera module factory in Vietnam. Accordingly, the company has completed the construction of the V3 factory, the newest facility in the production area in Hai Phong. With an area of 150,000 m2, the V3 factory will more than double LG Innotek’s total camera module production capacity in Vietnam. As a result, the company can ensure a stable supply of camera modules in large quantities for the production lines of leading smartphone manufacturers.
Vietnam: Two Japanese companies join Toan Phat to open integrated cold logistics hub
Two Japanese companies, Kawanishi Warehouse Co., Ltd. and MOL Logistics Co., Ltd., have officially become strategic shareholders of Toan Phat Logistics Joint Stock Company (TPL), and jointly established the first integrated cold logistics center in Vietnam, Mekong Logistics Hub. Hanoi: Inauguration of the second largest waste-to-energy plant in Southeast Asia
On September 18, the Hanoi People’s Committee, AMACCAO Group and Seraphin Green Environment Technology JSC held the inauguration ceremony of the Seraphin waste-to-energy plant. With a capacity to process 2,250 tons of household waste/day and night, a power generation capacity of 37Mw per hour, using modern Martin waste-to-energy technology from Germany. When put into operation, it will help process approximately 1/3 of the daily household waste in Hanoi today.
Hanoi: Commencement of the Component 3 Project of the Ring Road 4-Capital Region
On September 22, Can Tho City simultaneously held the Commencement and Inauguration Ceremony of 18 key works and projects in the city (8 works commenced and 10 works inaugurated), with a total investment of about 12,252 billion VND. Of these, 2 projects with large capital scale are the Project to upgrade and expand National Highway 91 (section from Km0 – Km7) and the Project to develop green urban areas to adapt to climate change in Nga Bay City (now Nga Bay Ward and Dai Thanh Ward).
Ha Tinh: Announcement of planning for two new Industrial Parks
The Management Board of Ha Tinh Economic Zones has just held conferences to announce the construction zoning plan for the Industrial Park in the West of Ha Tinh City and Ha Vang Industrial Park. The Industrial Park in the West of Ha Tinh City (Toan Luu Commune), scale 1/2,000, with a planning scale of 198.66 hectares. Ha Vang Industrial Park (Can Loc Commune), scale 1/2,000, with a planning scale of 100 hectares.
Ha Tinh: Vingroup invests in Factory for rent project
The Management Board of Ha Tinh Economic Zone has approved the investment policy and investor of the project to invest in building factories for rent to produce electric car accessories, implemented by Vinhomes Ha Tinh Industrial Park Investment JSC. The total investment capital of the project is expected to be more than VND 21,400 billion with a total expected area of over 132 hectares. It is expected that the project will complete acceptance and put into use in June 2027.
Ha Tinh: Planning for Bac Hong Linh Industrial Park over 300 hectares

Ha Tinh: Inauguration of Unit 1 of Vung Ang II Thermal Power Plant
On September 18, at Vung Ang Economic Zone (Ha Tinh), Vung Ang II Thermal Power Company Limited (VAPCO) held the inauguration ceremony of Unit 1. The project has a total investment of 2.2 billion USD and is implemented in the form of BOT with a designed capacity of 1,200 MW (including 02 units), Unit 1 capacity is 665 MW. This is a strategic cooperation project between Japanese companies led by Mitsubishi Corporation and Korea Electric Power Corporation (Korea).
Ho Chi Minh: IDICO Group is about to launch a new Industrial Park
The My Xuan B1 – Conac Industrial Park expansion has a planned area of about 109.5 hectares, located in My Xuan ward, Phu My city, Ba Ria – Vung Tau (now Phu My ward, Ho Chi Minh City), near Thi Vai river. The total investment for the project is about 1,989 billion VND. The legal procedures of the industrial park are expected to be completed by the Q1/2026, and it can start attracting investment from the Q3/2026 and complete construction in the Q1/2028.
Thai Nguyen: Kinh Bac to start construction of nearly 11,500 billion VND Industrial Park
Kinh Bac plans to start construction of Phu Binh Industrial Park in Thai Nguyen province in December 2025. The project has a total investment of 11,492 billion VND with a total area of 675 hectares. The project is located in the southeast of Thai Nguyen province, about 30 km from the administrative center of the province. The project connects external traffic with Ring Road 5 – Hanoi (CT.39), Ring Road 2 of Thai Nguyen province, DT.261D, DT.261E and DT.269B.
Hai Phong: Groundbreaking ceremony of Tan Trao Industrial Park (Phase 1)
On September 26, Prime Minister attended the groundbreaking ceremony of the Tan Trao Industrial Park Infrastructure Development Investment Project (Phase 1) and the Hai Phong LNG Thermal Power Plant Project. Tan Trao Industrial Park is invested by Vinhomes Hai Phong Industrial Park Investment Joint Stock Company; has an area of nearly 227 hectares, located in Kien Hung and Nghi Duong communes, with a total capital of more than VND 4,000 billion in phase 1.
Hai Phong: Plan to establish a 6,292-hectare Free Trade Zone
According to the Proposal of the City People’s Committee Party Committee, the proposed Hai Phong Free Trade Zone has an area of 6,292 hectares, expected to be located in the Southern Hai Phong Coastal Economic Zone and Dinh Vu – Cat Hai Economic Zone, with the nature of a comprehensive free trade zone, distributed in 3 locations not adjacent to functional areas. The project is implemented in 2 phases: Phase 1 (2025-2030) and Phase 2 (2030 – 2035).
Hai Phong: Establishment of Tien Cuong III Industrial Cluster
The People’s Committee of Hai Phong City has just signed a decision to establish Tien Cuong III Industrial Cluster, in Quyet Thang Commune with a scale of 57.2 ha, a total investment of more than 750 billion VND. The project investor is Tien Phat Industrial Park Infrastructure Investment JSC. The project implementation progress is from the Q3/2025 to the Q3/2026, the investor will carry out site clearance work. From the Q4/2026 to the Q1/2028, the project will be put into operation.
Hue: Calling for investment in Industrial Park No. 02
The Management Board of Hue City’s Economic and Industrial Zones has just announced the list of investment projects for construction and business of infrastructure of Industrial Park No. 02, with a total investment capital of VND 1,845 billion. The project will be deployed on a 204-hectare land plot in Chan May – Lang Co Economic Zone, with an expected implementation and completion time of 36 months. After being put into operation, the project will have an exploitation period of 50 years.
Quang Ninh: Dong Mai Industrial Cluster Inaugurated
On September 19, Tan Dai Duong International Import Export JSC officially inaugurated Dong Mai Industrial Cluster with a total area of over 16 hectares. The project has a total investment capital of over VND 280 billion, with the orientation of attracting industries in the production and processing of food, beverages, footwear, wood processing and products from wood, bamboo, and rattan. In addition, metal processing and processing services according to the industry chain are also on the priority development list.
Quang Ninh: Factory inauguration for Lithium-ion battery manufacturing industry
At Nam Tien Phong Industrial Park, Quang Ninh Province, the Quang Ninh Economic Zone Management Board and CoreMax Group held the inauguration ceremony of Vina CoreMax Vietnam Factory (Phase 1). The project has a total investment capital of 65.3 million USD, an area of about 8 hectares, with the goal of producing two crystals of Nickel sulfate and Cobalt sulfate to serve the Lithium-ion battery manufacturing industry in the region and the world.
Dong Nai: LEGO opens first regional distribution center in Southeast Asia
The LEGO Group (Denmark) and Kuehne Nagel Group (Switzerland) have just announced the expansion of their cooperation through the opening of a regional distribution center (RDC) in Dong Nai province. This center will serve as a distribution hub for products manufactured by Lego Manufacturing Vietnam. The project has a total area of 10,200 m2, with a capacity of 33,000 pallets and can be expanded up to 16,360 m2. When completed and fully operational in 2026.
Dong Nai: Inauguration of agricultural product processing factory
On September 19, Gia Bao Group JSC held the inauguration ceremony of Ba Tu Binh Phuoc agricultural and food processing factory in Dong Tam commune, Dong Nai province. The project with an investment of 6.5 million USD. Also at the inauguration ceremony, Gia Bao officially announced the launch of the “Dong Nai Cashew Industrial Cluster” project to continue its mission of creating nutritional and medicinal products, pioneering in the specialized processing of cashew nuts.
Can Tho: Inauguration of advanced technology agricultural and food processing factory
On September 26, at Song Hau Industrial Park, the Western Food Processing Export Joint Stock Company (WestFood) officially inaugurated the agricultural and food processing factory – Westfood Hau Giang, one of the largest agricultural and food processing factories in the Mekong Delta. The project is built on an area of 7 hectares, with a total investment of more than 666 billion VND, with a designed capacity of 30,000 tons of finished products/year.
Can Tho: VSIP Can Tho welcomes first project with total capital of 100 million USD

On September 28, in Truong Long Hoa ward, the People’s Committee of Vinh Long province, together with REE Refrigeration Electrical Engineering JSC and Truong Thanh Vietnam Group JSC, held a launching ceremony for 4 wind power plant projects: V1-2 expansion, V1-3 phase 2, V1-5 and V1-6 phase 2, Dong Hai 3 (location V3-3). These projects, when completed and put into operation, will continue to contribute to providing a stable power source of about 718 million kWh per year.
Da Nang: Investing in the construction of 8 container ports worth over VND45,268 billion
On September 23, the City People’s Committee has just approved the investment policy for the overall construction project of Lien Chieu container port with a total investment capital of over VND45,268 billion. Accordingly, the project has a research scale of about 172.6 hectares. The total overall design capacity of the project is about 5.7 million Teus/year (equivalent to about 74 million tons/year). Of which, the capacity by 2030 will reach 14.25 – 36.3 million tons/year.
Ninh Binh: Inauguration the road connecting Ninh Binh – Hung Yen – Hai Phong
On September 25, the People’s Committee of Ninh Binh province held a ceremony to inaugurate the development axis road connecting the province’s marine economic zone with the Cau Gie – Ninh Binh expressway, and the Day River overpass on the Ninh Binh – Hung Yen – Hai Phong expressway. The project has a total investment of VND5,326.5 billion, a total length of 46km, passing through many communes in the districts of Ý Yên, Nghĩa Hưng, Hải Hậu (former Nam Định).
