Vietnam: Aiming to become a link in the Semiconductor and AI value chain

Thanks to the Government’s strong policies, orientations and drastic direction, Vietnam has made impressive steps, being selected by the United States as one of the 6 countries participating in the Chips Act to develop the global semiconductor supply chain, attracting many large technology corporations in the world. Vietnam: Industrial Real Estate – Boost from Policy and FDI

The Vietnamese government has officially approved the project to build the country’s first wafer (silicon semiconductor) factory with a total investment of up to VND12,800 billion. The factory will specialize in manufacturing chips for defense, AI and high-tech applications. The government has committed to providing financial support of up to 30% of the total investment along with tax incentives. The project was approved in March 2025 with a plan to complete before 2030.

Vietnam: Ministry of Construction announces 17 dry ports in 12 provinces and cities

The Deputy Minister of Construction has just signed and issued a Decision on the announcement of the List of dry ports in Vietnam, with 17 dry ports in 12 provinces and centrally-run cities. Of these, 4 dry ports are in Hai Phong city; 3 dry ports are in Bac Ninh province; 2 dry ports are in Dong Nai province; the remaining 8 ports are in Lao Cai, Phu Tho, Quang Ninh, Hanoi, Ha Nam, Ninh Binh, Ba Ria-Vung Tau and Binh Duong provinces.

Hanoi: Developing Hoa Lac High-Tech Park into a science-technology city

On March 4, the Hanoi People’s Committee issued Decision No. 1243/QD-UBND approving the Outline of the Project to Develop Hoa Lac High-Tech Park to 2030, with a vision to 2045. The city has also just had a plan to deploy the organization to develop the Project to Develop Hoa Lac High-Tech Park to 2030, with a vision to 2045. The project will propose specific directions and solutions to develop the project into a center for research, high-tech application, and a Science-Technology city.

Hanoi: Establishment of 3 Craft Village Industrial Clusters

Dong Nai: There are an Eco-Industrial Park near the Airport

Recently, Dong Nai People’s Council has passed a resolution on the task of planning the construction zoning at a scale of 1/2000 for Long Duc 3 Industrial Park. Accordingly, the project scale is more than 244 ha; located near Long Thanh International Airport (in Binh Son commune, Long Thanh district, Dong Nai), with an investment capital of 16 billion USD. The project investor is Long Duc 3 Industrial Park JSC. The project’s operating period is 50 years from July 14, 2023.

Dong Nai: Proposal to establish a Free Trade Zone

Dong Nai People’s Committee of Dong Nai province has just proposed to allow the province to pilot the establishment of a Free Trade Zone of up to 2,000 hectares, located in the area adjacent to Long Thanh International Airport and Phuoc An Port. According to the proposal, this will be a duty-free zone, operating with special policies to attract investment in the fields of logistics, international trade, aviation services, processing – manufacturing and value-added services.

Dong Nai: There is an aircraft maintenance project for Long Thanh airport

Dong Nai Provincial People’s Committee has just decided to lease more than 4.5 hectares of land in Binh Son commune, Long Thanh district to the Aircraft Engineering Company Limited (VAECO). This area will be used to implement the No. 1 aircraft maintenance investment and business project at Long Thanh International Airport. The project is designed to be able to simultaneously maintain 2 type E aircraft and 2 type C aircraft, along with complete ancillary works and technical infrastructure.

Dong Nai: LOTTE Global Logistics breaks ground on Cold Chain Logistics Center

On March 19, at Nhon Trach 6 Industrial Park, Nhon Trach District, Lotte Global Logistics Vietnam Company, a member of Lotte Group, broke ground on the Dong Nai Cold Chain Logistics Center. It is built on an area of 5.5 ha, with a total investment of nearly 34 million USD. The project provides important services such as: integrated logistics of transportation and storage, integrated distribution center of cold and normal temperature, bonded warehouse operations and delivery center.

Nam Dinh: Construction of Industrial Park worth nearly VND 2,250 billion is about to start

On March 6, 2025, Nam Dinh People’s Committee issued Decision No. 577/QD-UBND, approving the investment policy for the project to build and operate infrastructure of Hai Long Industrial Park (VSIP Nam Dinh) phase 1. Vietnam Singapore Urban & Industrial Park Development JSC will be the investor. It is built on an area of about 180 ha, located in Giao Long and Giao Chau communes, Giao Thuy district, Nam Dinh province. The total investment capital of the project is VND 2,249.345 billion.

Bac Ninh: Western Pacific invests in Yen Phong II-A Industrial Park

Bac Ninh People’s Committee has just approved the project to adjust the detailed planning for the construction of Yen Phong II-A Industrial Park. Accordingly, Yen Phong II-A Industrial Park, located in Tam Giang and Hoa Tien communes, Yen Phong district, Bac Ninh, has a scale of more than 151 ha. The investor is Western Pacific Infrastructure Joint Stock Company, with a total investment capital of more than VND1,830 billion.

Bac Ninh: Approval of the planning of Thuan Thanh III Industrial Park – Sub-area C

Bac Ninh People’s Committee has just issued a decision approving the 1/2,000 scale construction planning project of Thuan Thanh III Industrial Park – Sub-area C. Accordingly, the project has an area of about 196 ha, located in Dinh To and Dai Dong Thanh communes, Gia Dong ward and Song Ho ward, Thuan Thanh town. This is a multi-industry industrial park, in which priority is given to high-tech, environmentally friendly industries associated with smart technology, supporting industries;..

Bac Ninh: Goertek Group has just leased land from Kinh Bac

Recently, Goertek Inc. signed a Memorandum of Understanding on re-leasing nearly 31 hectares of land at Nam Son – Hap Linh Industrial Park, Bac Ninh Province to expand investment. Goertek plans to use about 25 hectares of land to expand investment for new projects. The remaining area of the industrial park’s administrative service land lot will be used by Goertek to build a residential area for experts and workers working at the Goertek Nam Son – Hap Linh factory.

Bac Ninh: Announcement of opening Tan Chi Dry Port phase 1

On March 21, the Ministry of Transport officially issued a decision to announce the opening of Tan Chi dry port phase 1, located in Tan Chi commune, Tien Du district, Bac Ninh province. The project is invested by DABACO Vietnam Group Joint Stock Company, with a total area of over 81,900 m². Phase 1 of the port is invested to serve the exploitation and business activities of logistics services and carry out import and export procedures of goods according to current regulations.

Thai Nguyen: Viglacera starts construction of Song Cong II Industrial Park

Viglacera Corporation has just held the groundbreaking ceremony for the Song Cong II Industrial Park Infrastructure Investment and Construction Project – Phase 2. It has a land use scale of more than 296 ha in Ba Xuyen and Tan Quang communes (Song Cong city), with a total investment capital of nearly 4,000 billion VND. It is divided into two areas: Area No. 1 is 175.52 ha wide; Area No. 2 is 120.72 ha wide. The project will be completed within 36 months from the date of land handover.

Thai Nguyen: Huali Group invests in second factory in Thai Nguyen

Recently, Huali Group Vietnam Co., Ltd. (China) signed a land lease contract with Viglacera Thai Nguyen JSC in Song Cong II Industrial Park with an area of 130,000 sqm. Company will invest in a project to produce environmentally friendly construction materials with a total investment of nearly 100 million USD. In Thai Nguyen, the company is investing in project number 1, a flooring factory in Diem Thuy IP, with a scale of 135,000 tons/year, and a total investment of 939.6 billion VND.

Dak Lak: Groundbreaking ceremony for Phu Xuan Industrial Park project

On March 10, the Dak Lak Provincial People’s Committee held a groundbreaking ceremony for the Phu Xuan Industrial Park Project in Ea Drong Commune, Cu M’gar District, Dak Lak Province. The project is invested by KDI Holdings Group, with a scale of 313.03 ha. The project is the basis for implementation to attract investment projects to the industrial park, which will promote industrial growth and rapidly shift the province’s economic structure towards increasing the proportion of industry.

Dak Lak: Trung Nguyen breaks ground on Southeast Asia’s largest coffee factory

On March 10, Trung Nguyen Legend held a groundbreaking ceremony for the construction of a coffee factory in Tan An 2 Industrial Cluster. The factory covers an area of 50,000 sqm with a total investment of more than VND 2,000 billion, divided into two phases. It is expected to become the largest coffee production facility in Southeast Asia, playing an important role in the deep coffee processing chain, / refined processing, and providing high-quality raw materials for related industries.

Quang Ngai: Groundbreaking Ceremony of VSIP II Quang Ngai Industrial Park Project

The groundbreaking ceremony of VSIP II Quang Ngai Industrial Park Infrastructure Investment and Business Project took place on March 12. With a total area of 498 hectares, it is located in Dung Quat Economic Zone. The project aims to develop an industrial park associated with green growth and sustainable development, continuing to attract investors in industries applying science and technology, innovation and digital transformation in production and business activities..

Nghe An: Sembcorp Group invests in VSIP Nghe An 3 Industrial Park

On March 12, Nghe An Provincial Party Committee presented the Decision approving the investment policy of VSIP Nghe An 3 Industrial Park project to Sembcorp Group. The project has a land use scale of more than 181 ha in Hung Nguyen district, in the Southeast Economic Zone, with an investment capital of 52.5 million USD. It is expected to be prepared for investment in the Q4/2025 and completed and put into use from the Q3/2026 to the Q1/2030.

Long An: Prodezi starts construction of Eco-Industrial Park

On March 12, in Luong Hoa commune, Ben Luc district, Long An province, the investor Prodezi Long An JSC started construction of the Prodezi Eco-Industrial Park (Prodezi EIP). The project has a scale of 400 ha with a total investment of more than 4,600 billion VND. The project is expected to complete phase 1 and hand over to investors in the Q3/2025. This is the first Eco-Industrial Park in Long An designed and built to standards according to Government regulations and global trends.

Hai Duong: Approval of planning for two industrial parks of over 390 hectares

Hai Duong People’s Committee has just issued a decision approving the Task of Planning the construction zoning of Hoang Dieu Industrial Park. Accordingly, it has a planning area of about 250 ha, located in Gia Loc town, Hoang Dieu, Gia Khanh, Hong Hung commune, Gia Loc district. In addition, the province has just approved the task of planning the construction zoning of Gia Loc III Industrial Park. It has a planning research scale of over 142 ha, located in Thong Nhat commune and Yet Kieu commune.

Thai Binh: VSIP Thai Binh with nearly 350ha officially started

On March 26, VSIP Thai Binh Industrial Park officially started construction in An Tan and Thuy Truong communes, Thai Thuy district, Thai Binh province. The project has a land use scale of about 349 hectares; the Vietnam – Singapore Urban and Industrial Park Development JSC is the investor with a total investment capital of more than VND 4,932 billion. The project’s objective is to invest in the construction and business of Tan Truong industrial – urban – service park.

Soc Trang: Tran De Industrial Park Inauguration

According to the plan, on April 25, Soc Trang province will coordinate with the investor, Ha Thanh Concrete Joint Stock Company, to organize the inauguration ceremony to put into operation the infrastructure of Tran De Industrial Park. This is one of the largest industrial parks in Soc Trang; possessing a strategic location with diverse infrastructure, utility services, an internal international seaport system, easy connection to the highway, Can Tho international airport.

Quang Nam: Granting investment registration certificates to 6 projects

Recently, Quang Nam province has granted investment registration certificates to 6 projects. Typical projects include: Kyung Rim Tech Co., Ltd. (Korea) in Dien Nam Dien Ngoc IP, with a total capital of 146 billion VND. Oriental Commerce Vina Co., Ltd. (Korea) in Tam Thang IP, with a total capital of 186 billion VND. Thaco Auto Co., Ltd. in Chu Lai Truong Hai IP, with a total capital of 292 billion VND…. In addition, the province also signed an agreement to study and invest in 4 projects.

Tay Ninh: Granting investment license for FDI project in Phuoc Dong Industrial Park

On March 7, Tay Ninh Economic Zone Management Board held a ceremony to grant an investment certificate to the Global Hantex high-end knitted fabric and synchronous accessories factory project, implemented in Phuoc Dong Industrial Park. With a total area of over 50 ha, the project has a total investment capital of up to 150 million USD, and will be divided into two investment phases. Phase 1 is expected to be put into operation from May 2026. Phase 2 is expected to be put into operation from February 2028.

Binh Phuoc: Over 911 million USD invested in alumina production project

Binh Phuoc People’s Committee has signed Decision No. 168/QD-UBND approving the investment policy and co-approving the investor of the Binh Phuoc alumina processing and production project; and at the same time approving the investor, Binh Phuoc Ore Exploitation Joint Stock Company. It has a total land use area of about 299.9 ha and a design capacity of about 2,000,000 tons of alumina/year. The total investment capital is about 22,780 billion VND, equivalent to 911.2 million USD.

Hai Phong: Breaks ground on SIS Dinh Vu Ready-Built Factory & Warehouse for Lease

On March 6, at DEEP C Hai Phong 1 Industrial Park, Sembcorp Dinh Vu Infrastructure Services Co., Ltd. officially broke ground on the Sembcorp Logistics Park Dinh Vu Ready-Built Factory & Warehouse for Lease. The project has a total land area of 15 ha and a total investment capital of 50 million USD. It is expected to operate phase 1 from Q3/2025. This is the 5th project of Sembcorp in Hai Phong and upon completion, It will provide more than 90,000sqm of floor space.

Hai Phong: Commencement of construction of Ring Road 2 worth VND7,000 billion

On March 11, the People’s Committee of Hai Phong City held a groundbreaking ceremony for the Investment Project to build Ring Road 2, Tan Vu – Hung Dao – Bui Vien Street section. The project has a construction scale of over 11km. This is a special-level traffic project with a total investment of over VND7,000 billion. When completed and put into use, the project will help complete the local urban infrastructure system in general and the districts of Hai An, Duong Kinh, Kien An.

Bac Giang: There are another USD 6 million project

Innovacut Manufacturing Co., Ltd. (Hong Kong, China) has just been granted an investment registration certificate for the Innovacut (Vietnam) factory project in Hoa Phu Industrial Park (Hiep Hoa, Bac Giang) with a total investment capital of up to $6 million. Each year, the factory is expected to produce up to 5 million handheld household electrical appliances, 6 million plastic parts and 5 million metal products such as scissors, combs, nail clippers, and electric trimmer blades.

Thanh Hoa: Groundbreaking of Outdoor Gear Vietnam Sports Equipment Factory

On March 17, 2025, Outdoor Gear Vietnam Co., Ltd. held a groundbreaking ceremony for the Outdoor Gear Vietnam Sports Equipment Factory project in Hop Long village, Nga Truong commune, Nga Son district, Thanh Hoa province. The project is implemented on an area of over 10.3 hectares, with a total investment of VND 868.5 billion. According to the plan, the project implementation period lasts 50 years, with construction progress within 24 months from the date of land handover.

Quang Ninh: Groundbreaking Ceremony of Lite-On Quang Ninh Factory

On March 18, at Song Khoai – Amata Ha Long Industrial Park, Quang Yen town, Quang Ninh, the groundbreaking ceremony of Lite-On Vietnam Quang Ninh Factory -Phase 1 took place. It is invested by Lite-on Technology Group, built on an area of 30 hectares, with a total investment of 690 million USD. The project has a scale of 2 manufacturing factories and 1 office building. The factory has a total capacity of nearly 124 million products/year. Phase 1 is expected to be completed in November 2025.

Quang Ninh: Inauguration of an Automobile Manufacturing Factory

On March 26, Thanh Cong Group (TC Group) officially inaugurated and put into commercial operation the Thanh Cong Viet Hung Automobile Factory, part of the Thanh Cong Viet Hung Automobile and Supporting Industry Complex (Quang Ninh). This is the fourth automobile manufacturing plant of Thanh Cong Group and the first Skoda automobile manufacturing plant in Southeast Asia. The factory has a total area of 36.5 hectares, designed with a capacity of 120,000 cars/year.

Hue: Many billion-dollar projects in Hue begin implementation

On March 25, 2025, Creanza High-Tech Materials JSC held a groundbreaking ceremony for the Creanza High-Tech Quartz Sand Processing Factory Project in Phong Dien Industrial Park. It has an area of 12.72 ha; total investment capital of VND 2,187 billion. On the same day, also at Phong Dien IP, Dat Phuong Glass JSC -Dat Phuong Group held a groundbreaking ceremony for the Dat Phuong Super White Flower Glass Factory project. It has an area of 12.18 ha, total investment capital of VND 2,000 billion.

Hue: Construction of Chan May Logistics Center Project commenced

On March 26,LEC Group commenced the construction of Chan May Logistics Center project. It is located in Chan May – Lang Co Economic Zone, Phu Loc District, Hue City. It has a total investment of more than 1,500 billion VND, a scale of 33.62 ha, including a modern warehouse system, a goods coordination center, customs services and multimodal transportation… This will be an important link in the national and international supply chain, a driving force for the sustainable development of Chan May EZ.

Binh Dinh: Over VND231,000 billion in investment ‘poured’ into the province

On March 28, Binh Dinh People’s Committee granted the MoUs on investment cooperation, as well as investment registration certificates to 62 projects with a total registered capital of over VND231,000 billion. These projects are in many important fields such as: industry, high technology, trade services – tourism, urban economy, port services and logistics. Of which, 16 projects were granted investment registration certificates with a total registered capital of about VND17,027 billion.

Bac Kan: Construction of the Cho Moi – Bac Kan Expressway commenced

On March 15, Bac Kan People’s Committee held a groundbreaking ceremony for the Cho Moi – Bac Kan route investment project. The project starts at the Thai Nguyen -Cho Moi Expressway, Cho Moi District; and ends at the Bac Kan – Cao Bang Expressway, Bac Kan City. The expressway section is 28.4 km long, and the section connecting to the Bac Kan – Ba Be Lake road is 0.4 km long. The project has a total investment of 5,750 billion VND, and is expected to be basically completed in 2026.

Ba Ria – Vung Tau: Approved Long Son My Xuan General Port Project

Deputy Prime Minister signed Decision No. 650/QD-TTg dated March 19, 2025 approving the investment policy of Long Son My Xuan general port project. The project area is about 41.65 hectares, located is in My Xuan ward, Phu My town, Ba Ria-Vung Tau. Project scale: Investing in the construction of 1 wharf with a length of 270m to receive general cargo ships with a tonnage of up to 30,000 DWT; 4 barge wharfs with a total length of 530m to receive ships and barges with a tonnage of up to 7,500 DWT…

Quang Binh: Hon La International Port Project commencement

On March 21, the Hon La International Port Project Commencement Ceremony took place in Quang Trach District, Quang Binh Province. It has a total investment of VND2,299 billion, covering an area of 39.22 ha. It is divided into 2 phases. Phase 1 will build wharf No. 1, 230m long, and wharf No. 2, 240m long. Phase 2 will build wharf No. 3, 240m long, and wharf No. 4, 260m long, to receive ships with a capacity of up to 100,000 DWT. The expected capacity is 6 million tons/year.

Quang Tri: Groundbreaking ceremony for the dry port at the Vietnam – Laos border

On March 25, at Lao Bao International Border Gate, Quang Tri Province, the groundbreaking ceremony for the VSICO Quang Tri Dry Port Project took place. It has an area of over 85,000 sqm, with a total investment of VND 236 billion, invested by VSICO Maritime JSC. It is designed with a customs clearance capacity of 3.5 million tons/year, of which the container cargo output is 100,000 TEU/year; the bulk cargo output is 1,000,000 tons/year; the annual revenue is estimated at VND 200 billion.

Da Nang: Inauguration of the most modern and advanced logistics center in the Central

On March 29, Bee Logistics Corporation held the inauguration ceremony of the Bee Distribution Center at the Da Nang High-Tech Park. The project covers an area of 26,000 m2 with a total investment of VND 100 billion, a capacity of 30,000 pallet positions, integrating a cold storage system, distribution warehouse, complex warehouse, and 23 modern lift floors. This is one of the most modern, comprehensively connected, and advanced logistics centers in the Central region today.
